new street?

Posted by GSUKeitarou at 10:35 PM on May 5, 2006 in Life (or lack of it).

Ah, lack of time, so i won't go into much detail XD

the street i live at sucks, as the road was all bumpy and full of holes that seemed like craters, but the mayor asked ppl -like 2 years ago- to gather a determined ammount of money, they did so, and yesterday the working began, not the street is all destroyed XD, but they'll make a new one, i hope it lasts, a lot of busses and trucks uses the road there even tho that street should be cars-only, i hope they trucks and busses stops using it so the street longs for a good ammount of time (the trucks and busses owneres live on that street, so they think they can use it at their will, but since everyone paid for a street reconstruction, i assume ppl would be against using the street as if it was an avenue.... )

Bike & smog

Posted by GSUKeitarou at 10:52 PM on May 1, 2006 in Life (or lack of it).

Despite the fact that there's such a big ammount of smog in the city, today me, 2 cousins and a friend gathered early on the morning so we could go bike-riding to the hills near here, so at 10am we were on our way to the hills

yep, 10am isn't "early", but we had to fix one of my cousins' bike, as it was broken, that's why we didn't departed earlier...

we arrived at the hills about 15 to 20 mins later, as we were going fast and used a speedway to go there XD (avoiding the cars is fun), so we climbed the hills carryong our bikes, and crossed some caves that are there, we were going to hide our bikes in one of those caves (as it's easier to climb without them), but then we decided to go around the whole hill biking (we were following a small river that goes all the way around the hills, tho i don't know where it starts or where it finishes), and after a lot of biking, climbing, and some other odd events (umm, most of us where about to fall to the river at least once, and there were parts where both walking and biking was hard) we were in time to go back home (the friend of us had to be at home eary to do some chores), so we searched for a way to go back home without having to trace all the way we walked, we found a route, but was kinda hard as it was about 40º XD, so we slided sideways with the bikes to not fall on the edges of the route

we ended up all scratched XD, there were a lot of plants with.. umm.. pointy things on them XD, but was a good exercise, the only bad thing about the whole trip was that since here is so much smog in the city, all we could see on the hills -when looking at the city- was a gray cloud covering it all, the visibility was just about a mile away, the rest wasn't visible because of the smog.... a shame, on a normal day the whole city would be visible (even some hills near the one we were in weren't visible >.< )

i guess we won't be able to go as a group until next sunday, but i think i may be biking some more, despite the smog...
if we only had some rain, the sky would be clearer, but even tho we're in autumn, the tº are still high and we've had just sunny days....

smog

there's so much smog in my city that the hills i go to bike to (which are about half a mile away) CAN'T BE SEEN!!!!, not even the mountais sorrounding the city are visible, neither the hill in the middle of the city (which as a statue of the Virgin Mary, which is suppossed to be visible in the whole city), the days have been sunny, but the smog here is so dense than it looks as if it was a cloudy day >_> and in the night it looks like if it was a light fog....

it sucks a lot >_>
i can't even go biking around the city as i'd normally do >.<, it's quite well known that if i did in such environment, i'd get sick from breathing that kind of air, not to mention the headaches (last wednesday i went to the downtown, the smog wasn't as heavy as it is now, but i got back home with a nice headache >_> )

Dollar & copper

Posted by GSUKeitarou at 06:51 PM on April 12, 2006 in Life (or lack of it).

well, today something interesting happened, they said in the news that the Copper exported from my country (Chile) has reached a new price, the highest in the story, according to the statistics, and because of it, the dollar has lost it's value and it's getting cheaper, which means good news for ppl who import things and pays in dollars, as this means the goods will be cheaper, but it's really bad news for ppl who export things, as they'll receive the same ammount of dollars, but they'll equal less local money, also it's expected for the dollar to be cheaper that it already is (when i first knew about dollars was around 1989, and it's price was $315 in local currency, the top price for the dollar i think it was about $750 a couple of years ago, and now it is $513, and it's expected to be less that $500 if the tendency is kept

i don't care about all that XD, was just a kind of resume, because after all that i thought that no matter that the pound of copper costs more dollars, if the dollar's price is lowered, it means that the copper is about the same local money, or even cheaper XD
btw, the copper price is fixed in umm, the UK's currency, dunno it's english name XD, but i think that the copper is still sold in dollars, as it's a kind of universal currecy at this side of the world (i assume europe uses dollar a lot less,a s most EU countries have euros...)
